Planning Board member position available

The Planning Board of Smithville is looking for a Smithville Town resident interested in serving a 5 year appointment vacancy on the Planning Board through December 31, 2031. The position involves attendance at monthly Planning Board meetings and serving on Board committees; other meetings may also be scheduled. Interested persons should write a letter of intent addressed to the Town Board at P.O. Box 217, Smithville Flats NY 13841. Letters may also be dropped off at the Town Clerk's office at 5285 State Hwy 41, Smithville Flats NY. Please write "letter of intent" on the lower left corner of the envelope.
All letters must be received by December 31st, 2026 by noon.

The Town of Smithville is looking for a DW (Dog Warden) starting January 1, 2027. This person should be familiar with local ordinances pertaining to the and keeping of dogs.
The position is a part-time Civil Service position with the Town of Smithville and is paid a salary. The Individual should have their own transportation.
